We are thrilled to extend an invitation to join a special psychoanalytic music program featuring PCOP Fellowship Graduate and Fellowship Associate Member, John Viscardi! This program will address the transformational impact of psychoanalysis through the lens of music and vocal arts. Internationally acclaimed opera singer, John Viscardi has moved audiences around the world with his vocal beauty and dramatic intensity. Mr. Viscardi’s operatic engagements have taken him to the Metropolitan Opera, Los Angeles Opera, Santa Fe Opera, Opera Philadelphia, New York City Opera, Michigan Opera Theatre, the Lyric Opera of Kansas City, and others. Winner of numerous competitions including the Concorso Internazionale F.P. Tosti, he has appeared in recital and concert at venues that include Carnegie Hall (New York), Geffen Hall (New York), Tokyo Opera City (Tokyo), Verizon Hall (Philadelphia) and Avery Fisher Hall (New York).

Mr. Viscardi is co-founder of ArtSmart, a non-profit organization that provides free, private music lessons and mentorship to students in under-resourced communities across the United States. Since its inception, ArtSmart has provided over 35,000 free music lessons to over 1,000 students in nine cities.

He is a graduate of the Academy of Vocal Arts, New York University, and the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia. John lives in Philadelphia with his wife Molly and two children, Jack and Noa.
