The ability to formulate psychodynamically is a central skill for all psychoanalysts and psychodynamic psychotherapists. It’s something we need to be able to learn, practice and teach throughout our careers. This community learning event, open to all students and faculty, will introduce a clear, step-wise approach to teaching this seminal skill that can be used by learners at all levels and by experienced practitioners alike. It will also offer participants a chance to consider ways of using a broader approach to psychodynamic formulation that allows us to appreciate the ways that the hierarchical structures of our society impact our unconscious development throughout life.
