Panelist/Speaker Biographies

Dr. Corinne Masur is a clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst in private practice in Center City Philadelphia and Exton, Pennsylvania. She particularly enjoys treating young children and their parents. She is on the faculty of the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia and has written, taught, and lectured on the subjects of early childhood bereavement, child development, childhood psychopathology, and mortality.

Henri Parens, MD, is a Professor of psychiatry at Thomas Jefferson Medical College, and a Training and Supervising Analyst (child and adult) at PCOP.  He has been in private practice of over fifty years and he is the author of over 260 publications including twenty-two books, five scientific films, a DVD documentary and a TV series for CBS.

Harvey Schwartz, MD, is a Training Analyst at PCOP and at The Institute for Psychoanalytic Education (IPE) affiliated with the NYU School of Medicine. He is the co-editor of Illness in the Analyst: Implications for the Treatment Relationship.

Sybil Houlding, LCSW, is a clinical social worker and a member of the faculty of the Western New England Psychoanalytic Institute for Psychoanalysis.  She practices in New Haven, Connecticut, treating individuals, couples and families.  She has recently been named Faculty Chair at the Western New England Institute.

Claire Pouncey, MD, PhD, is a psychiatrist in private practice who is currently creating her own professional will. She will share her process of researching approaches to current considerations and content of professional practice directives and provide resources for practitioners starting or updating their own professional wills.
