MISSION

The Diversity & Inclusion Committee of the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia is dedicated to increasing awareness and acceptance of the importance of diversity among students, faculty, and members, as well as forming policy recommendations that will ensure a diverse and inclusive environment through accountability and growth.

VISION

The Diversity & Inclusion Committee of the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia envisions an equitable training and membership organization where embracing diversity is acknowledged as an integral part of psychoanalytic practice and inclusion is made a top priority by remedying systemic barriers, actively challenging bias, and elevating the voices of underrepresented groups.

DIVERSITY & INCLUSION INITIATIVES

While PCOP already has several Diversity and Inclusion initiatives underway including the PCOP Town Halls, diversity-focused faculty programming, and relevant courses in our training programs, the Holmes Commission on Racial Equality in the American Psychoanalytic Association has provided innovative solutions that have given the Diveristy & Inclusion Committee a renewed focus. We look forward to implementing report recommendations.
